RESTORING STONEWORK
Traditional Craftsmanship
Evan Marker Stonework provides specialist stone restoration services, using traditional stonemasonry skills to repair, conserve and restore existing stonework.
Whether working on an older home, historic building, stone wall or architectural feature, Evan Marker takes a considered approach to restoration, respecting the original materials and character while helping ensure the stonework remains strong and enduring.
Understanding Existing Stonework
Successful stone restoration begins with understanding how the original structure was built.
Evan Marker considers the type and condition of the stone, original mortar, pointing and construction methods before determining the most appropriate approach to restoration. Wherever possible, original stone and materials are retained and repaired rather than unnecessarily replaced.
Preserving Stonework for the Future
From small repairs through to more extensive restoration projects, Evan Marker Stonework approaches each project with care, attention to detail and respect for the original craftsmanship. The aim is to preserve as much of the existing stonework as possible while ensuring it can continue to be enjoyed for generations.
